The PSPDVT1150 - Digital Voice Tracer 1150 Recorder does not require a tape. It is a digital tape recorder and records sound as digital files (in this case, WAV file types).

Is the product that much better than a 388 with the lower price?
asked by Fred on February 19, 2015

The Pocket Memo 488 offers better sound quality than the 388. The 488 is more sensitive, producing higher quality recordings. The 488 also offers louder playback.

Pocket Memo 388:

  • Acoustic frequency response: 400–4,000 Hz
  • Output power: >100 mW
Pocket Memo 488:
  • Acoustic frequency response: 400–5,000 Hz

  • Output power: >220 mW
