I have a shelf unit/computer desk in my office that has a veneer, dark oak finish. It has picked up numerous scratches and gouges over the last several years that reveals the light-colored pressed-wood construction beneath the veneer finish. It looked quite unsightly. The Restor-it Furniture Touch-Up kit offered a good selection of colors to repair this damage. One of the filler sticks was the perfect color to match the veneer finish. The application was very easy and now I can no longer see where the damage was. This is a great product.

Latest Question and Answers

My faux leather sofa and loves eat are both pealing on the arms so I need something easy with good coverage for the 4 areas. I saw you kit but it doesn't look like it's nearly enough product for my brown furniture. Any help is greatly appreciated. Oh, I'm an amateur but I'm hoping there is something I could do to save money on this project. I don't want to send it out or cover it with arm covers if I don't have to. Thank you.

Master Caster®, the maker of the ReStor-It Quick 20 Leather/Vinyl Repair Kit, recommends using two kits -- one for each arm.

Can this restore veneer that has chipped off a dresser? What about deep gouges?

Hi Pat,

Thank you for your questions about the Quick 20 ReStor-It Fix-A-Chip Repair Kit.

This kit is safe to use on veneer. It may require two or more applications to  fill in deep gouges.

Hope this answers your question!
