Once the tape pulls out accidentally, is there any way to rewind the tape?
asked by Fred J Morgan on August 30, 2016
    0 votes

BICWOTAPP418 BIC WiteOut EZ Correct Correction tape has a self winding mechanism. To rewind the tape if it should become loose, BIC recommends following these steps to rewind the tape:

  • First, press the nose of the dispenser firmly on paper.
  • Then, make a quick motion towards the right.
  • Repeat these steps until the tape rewinds.

I can't figure out how to use it. help
asked by Elaine on November 15, 2012

Hi Elaine!

Here are some instructions on how to use the correction tape.

  • Hold the dispenser with your thumb in the groove.  Make sure the BIC logo is facing up.
  • Next, position the nose of the dispenser flat and at angle on the area to be corrected. (It should look like you are holding a pencil at an angle where the side of the lead would be almost flat against the writing surface.)
  • Press down firmly and gently move dispenser from left to right across the correction area.

Should the tape become loose you can press  the nose of the tape firmly against a piece of paper and quickly motion to the right.  Repeat until tape rewinds.

Please let us know if you need any additional information

Have a great day!

Rachel

How do you stop and cut the tape after dispensing a line?
asked by Rich Miller on November 3, 2014
    -4 votes

When you reach the end of the line you need to correct, simply lift the dispenser from the paper. The Wite-Out line cuts itself, and the clear tape winds back into the dispenser.

I need a MSDS sheet for BIC Wite Out EZcorrect correction tape - I can not find one anywhere!!
asked by Karen Jacquier on June 25, 2012
    -3 votes

Hi Karen!

Thanks for your question.

BIC writing instruments, including correction tape, are “consumer products” as defined by the Consumer Product Safety Act.  With that being said, BIC products are exempt from MSDS requirements when they are manufactured, used or distributed pursuant to OSHA guidelines.  If you require documentation for your files, we can provide you with a letter from BIC outlining these guidelines.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Have a great day!

Rachel

A little pricey but a quality product

I bought four of these and every single one of them broke within the first hour. One of them tangled on the inside, the other three somehow released too much when it was being used and would NOT go back in. Total waste of money.

Bad product, once the correction tape comes out too far you can never fix it. Total waste of money.

This instrument does not white out. I got one word almost covered and that is all it does. It is a worthless peice of equpment and good for nothing!

I hate to say it, but I am just not a fan of this item. The colors are nice for the applicators, but the tape is fairly hard to get to stick to the paper. After applying the correction tape, you have to sort of use your finger to get the last bit of tape to stick down. Also, I used this for a few weeks and then somehow the reel of tape came out too far and I can't get it back on track. I can't figure out how to get it back to working order so I may have to just pitch it. A little aggravating.

I like to use the white-out tape. Much quicker than the liquid and the tape rolls out smoothly.
