We had difficulty using this tape dispenser because of the retracting safety feature. If you don't press directly on the corner, the blade won't engage, so if you are trying to tape on a flat portion the tape runs much longer than necessary and you have to push the lever with your hand, or cut it by hand. The handle is very comfortable and the tape with it is great, just had problems getting the tape to cut when we wanted it to. 4 out of 5, by Anonymous on May 24, 2011

I bought this tape dispenser because I thought it was so cute and since I don't have to use packaging tape too often, I thought it would be a great size for around the house. I didn't really want one of those large packaging tape dispensers that takes up so much room to store.
I have been very happy with the performance of this dispenser. It rolls smoothly and cuts the tape easily. the only downfall is that it only takes the smaller rolls of tape that are kind of expensive to replace. If you use a lot of tape, its probably not worth it, but for the occasional user like myself, I would recommend it. 5 out of 5, by Anonymous on May 24, 2011

Not sure how much there is to say about a tape dispenser, but I have been happy with this purchase. I got so tired of keeping track of all of the plastic tape dispensers, that crack and you have to use two hands to hold. This dispenser makes it so much easier to get a piece of tape with one hand, which definitely helps with gift wrapping, scrapbooking, kids projects, etc. Not sure what took me so long to buy one since you can get them for so cheap online! 5 out of 5, by Anonymous on December 3, 2010
