Gel pens should be stored horizontally with the caps securely closed to keep the ink from drying out and to ensure smooth writing for a longer period of time. Keep them away from extremely hot or cold environments as extreme temperatures can alter the ink flow. Use a pen case or organizer to protect the tips.
