117b rubber bands, such as the ALL00700 Big Bands by Alliance, are the best size for your needs. 117b bands are 7" x 1/8" and will stretch to fit around your folders without popping.

what would be the best rubber band size to go around a standard file folder. We are having issues with the file folders curling in when we put the rubber bands around them. we tried # 18 and #19 and neither seems to work well.
