Didn't get it specifically for cooling purposes. Needed something to raise my laptop off the desk just a bit. Had a hard time finding something (most items assumed you would be using a separate keyboard, which is not what I'm doing). I am disabled and use a wheelchair and do not have much hand strength. This laptop stand is both lightweight so I can handle it but sturdy.
I like the way air can circulate freely around my laptop to prevent over-heating. Delivery was quick.

piece of junk and poorly dsigned - the lowest setting puts a laptop at such an angle you can't type and the higher settings doesn't even let the computer stay on the stand
