I needed some sturdy bookends for my house but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on them. I am so glad that I purchased this set! I always see these in libraries, etc, so I figured that they would hold up well. They really keep our books in place and while they aren't the prettiest ones out there, I was going for efficiency instead. I have to admit that I did spray paint them the oil rubbed bronze color so that they would match my decor a little better. Very happy with this purchase and a very good price!
